So I'm in the process of making a short film. To raise money, I've entered this contest, showing people around my studio. The winner is determined by number of hits and number of stars. If I win, I get $10,000 for my movie! Totally awesome! Please click here, have a look and give it a vote. You'll get to see me acting silly, running around my studio:
I just made a new site for my friend, Isabelle Lumpkin. She's a great artist, check out her stuff: http://www.isabellelumpkin.com

I recently was playing a role in Ang Lee's new movie, Taking Woodstock. Here are a couple photos. There are some amazing ones but those are super secret until the movie comes out.
My super awesome mega hero, Ang Lee and me.
Ashley, me, Ang, Jesse, Darcy, Halley and Celia.
Me and James Schamus. He's awesome!
Me, Halley, Jesse, John and Carmel at the wrap party.
Hair just opened in Central Park. Its very good, I highly recommend it! It also has a couple moments where the Joshua Light Show appears.
Also in the NY Times review there is a pic of everyone dancing on the stage. If you look carefully, you'll see Malcolm with the hoop.

Images for a Coverse editorial for the July issue of The Standard Magazine (Paris) Collages created by Bec using images by Malcolm Stuart (look closely)
I went with the legendary makeup artist, Billy B, and his team of special forces assistants. The looks were created for the fashion show, which was put on by Agent Provocateur.
My work focuses on color and collage, energy and rhythm. The videos that I create are hybrids of the world around me and the worlds inside my head. I'm interested in examining current events and places but through a lens that distorts them to reveal some unseen quality. Makeup, costume and performance all become part of the vocabulary that composes the final pieces. Once a film is finished, it is then remixed live to create new variations.
I have also started to take my new video work and expand it to drawings and collages. These are pieces that I create to help develop the video ideas. They also come from a desire to hold the pieces in my hands. This blog was created as a way of sharing my latest work and thoughts about these experiments.
I create work as Bec Stupak, but always include Honeygun Labs as a way to represent the group effort that goes into making any of the pieces. Often the work is a collaboration between myself and friends who inspire me, either through their being or through direct participation. Many of them are listed below.
